The S Effect
Hello, My name is Courtney Burnette, I am the author of the book The S Effect, I wrote The S Effect in hopes it will bring more light to the Infection, because enough has not been taught, and there is plenty more to learn about the Infection. It seems the antibiotics doctors prescribe for the Infection (Depending on the severeness) only keeps it under control for a little while until Antibiotics end up having no effect on the Infection and becomes the Infections side kick and starts shutting organs down, or even those that get cured, still have to live with the aftermath of the damage both caused on the entire body. I also wrote The S Effect to hopefully help someone going through the same horrible situation. I do my best to break down Big doctor words and what they mean, I've also included side effects and test results. I hope that in some way my book does help in any way possible. I am truly sorry for the people going through it because it is hell, I feel for you, and to the families of those that lost their fight to Staphylococcus or any other Staph infection (as there are many) I am very sorry for your loss.
Staphylococcus
Staphylococcus (staph) refers to a group of bacteria, with over 30 types known. While often found on the skin or in the nose of healthy individuals without causing issues, they can lead to infections if they enter the body, commonly through a cut or wound. Staphylococcus aureus is the strain responsible for the majority of these infections.
Endocarditis
Endocarditis is usually caused by an infection. Bacteria, fungi or other germs get into the bloodstream and attach to damaged areas in the heart. Things that make you more likely to get endocarditis are artificial heart valves, damaged heart valves or other heart defects. Without quick treatment, endocarditis can damage or destroy the heart valves.
